Counting this past weekend’s ING New York City Marathon, I’ve now completed four of the 26.2-mile beasts and realize that I’ve covered 104.8 miles and 16-plus hours in doing so. It’s a lot of miles and a lot of time and quite frankly looks a little crazy to me on paper. But I have to say that there’s no other place I’d want to run the distance than New York City.

What do Lotus Night Club, Harmonica Sun Beam and the Rivington House have in common? A whole lotta heart. Wednesday evening well-known tranny performer and former Rivington House Resident, Harmonica Sun Beam hosted several hundred New Yorkers at Lotus in the Meat Packing District. The benefit was organized in light of budget cuts on patient care for the 100,000 New Yorkers are infected with HIV/AIDS.

Donald Trump has always oddly fascinated me. The big-time swagger, the gilded living quarters, the hair. So when my friend invited me to the launch party for Trump vodka, I said sure. Wait - did I say Trump vodka? Please, forgive me. It’s actually called Trump Super Premium Vodka. In fact, Trump himself was quoted last year as saying, “[This summer,] I fully expect the most called-for cocktail in America to be the ‘T&T,’ or the Trump and tonic.” Well, not sure if that happened - and, ironically, the Donald doesn’t even drink - but cheers to thinking big.

The catch: Instead of being filled with hordes of social Manhattanites, it was filled with a hundred overstuffed New York Press goodie bags.

In the past month, it feels like I have seen more musical performances then a Rolling Stone journalist. Surprisingly, not only were they all fantastic performances, but they were an eclectic mix from different genres, venues, and attitudes.

Ludacris brings new meaning to ’shake your money maker’ with the recent release of one of hip-hop magazine XXL’s “Most Anticipated Records of the Year,” Release Therapy. As an in-the-know, ahead-of-the-curve New Yorker, I couldn’t wait any longer to hear the new album and see the man of the hour during the album release party at Lower East Side club Element.
