After moving to New York when she was 17, and riding out two dot.com booms in grand style, Jasmine is head over heels in love with her adopted city. She has played violin since she was five years old, and loves swimming, running, and enjoying great food. With seven siblings in her family, she knows how to socialize, and it shows. Her inner PR professional surfaces during the many events she attends, but she has also discovered a deep appreciation for her couch, and secretly would sometimes rather not leave it. Lola is a ragtag grab bag of editrix extraordinaire, Southern expat, doctora bibenda, and reality TV junkie. As an aspiring media superstar, she will go to the opening of an envelope if there are free cocktails. She spearheaded blogging as we know it* and, oh yeah!, edited a book on E! True Hollywood Stories. Stay classy, NYC. Posts by Lola.

Daphne developed a passion for writing when she found it difficult to get a word in while growing up as the oldest of five rambunctious children. This is also probably the reason she has developed an uncanny ability to drown out all sounds when focusing on work, making her infamous among friends as being selectively deaf. Currently she is submerged in the world of Online Marketing, and when she's not dissecting the contents of an Excel spreadsheet she can usually be found reading Entrepreneur, Inc., Forbes, and Money magazines. She hopes to have her own business one day but until then she's doing everything she can to get there. Posts by Daphne.
You can't meet Lauren and not like her. After qualitative testing in all 5 boroughs, 99.9% of aquaintances "would recommend her to a friend." This is notable given that Lauren is one of the last conservatives left in her group of friends, much less the state. But you know what they say - keep your friends close, and your red-state friends closer. "Lurehimin" can't resist a free whiskey drink, a man in a green shirt, or the national anthem. We hope you're taking notes. She's the only person we know who can recite all 50 states in alphabetical order in less than 60 seconds and won't be caught dead without her pearls. Posts by Lauren.
The parallels between Edina's life and her favorite show, Absolutely Fabulous, are shocking. Growing up, way before the existence of the show, Edina was inseparable from her cat Patsy. Edina is also obsessed with fashion--she is currently attending the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York for fashion design--and she is famous for turning an old pair of boots into a hot shirt. As a Dior devotee, Edina cried the first time she saw the two-story store in Manhattan. This sassy little sexpot can also be found drinking hard and partying harder on the New York club scene--and always able to wrangle the free Champagne. Posts by Edina.
Tracee is one of the few red heads insanely proud of her locks of flowing lava. This very childlike egoblower has a grand ability to make smiling contagious and laughter a drug. Tracee works in the computer world and has a fanatical love for Apple Computers as well as anything else innovative, sexy, and electronic. This affinity leads her to frequently break into computer lingo on cue, leaving most men wide eyed and silent. Tracee's other passion in life is dance and whether she is in Central Park, Times Square, or at your local rock venue, the world is her stage and she will gladly start a danceoff--or two. Ingrid is an editor at a New York City-based luxury lifestyle magazine and a freelance writer. She moved from Minnesota to New York two years ago after realizing that, well, maybe she really could make it here. She repeatedly assures her Midwestern friends that, no, it's not like Sex and the City in the City every day - although she does own way too many pairs of shoes - and she is often found running miles in Central Park, contemplating her next tattoo, or devotedly devouring the crossword puzzle in New York Magazine.

Jane Marie has spent the past year of her life perfecting the art of Making an Entrance and it's paid off. She attributes living in Manhattan to helping her develop her personal style mantra which is: If you see something and think, "I love it, but could never wear it ", scoop it up and put it on immediately! Jane Marie is always rocking the perfect pair of stilettos whether she's heading out to the opening of a new night spot or just making a quick trip to the dry cleaner. You never know where Jane Marie will pop up or what she'll be doing next, but you can guarantee she'll be doing it in style.

Erica moved to New York City for college and has been hooked ever since--she can't see herself anywhere else. She thrives off the fast-paced constancy of the city, yet also enjoys discovering all there is unknown about it. She balances many jobs and interests, including temping in the production department of a soap opera, working as a personal assistant for one of the actors on the show, and heading up the editorial team for an online teen magazine. Needless to say, she loves her life. After 15 years of dancing, she is still addicted to seeing (and photographing) various performances from Savion Glover's latest tap piece to an up-and-coming company in New York. Posts by Erica.
When not planning events or working on marketing strategy, Elle is out and about enjoying the many scenes New York has to offer. An avid traveler--Elle can often be found jetting to Miami for a little sun, or Europe for a new wardrobe. Behind the glam is a business gal who is making her mark growing a beauty company for one client, and venturing into new construction real estate with another. It may be hard to track her down, but a conversation with this ever moving diva is always interesting as she can gab on a variety of subjects. Posts by Elle.
Whitney Houston once wrote a song called "I'm Every Woman." Really what she wanted to say was "I'm Katie Sherman" but Katie, being the saavy business woman that she is, said not without 10% of the earnings. Whitney refused and Katie is still in Advertising at kb+p. When she's not at the office 16hrs a day, she spends her weekends watching her favorite "celebrities," the rollerskaters in Central Park. Don't be surprised if her write-ups repeatedly mention her undying love for Magic Hat #9 or Jack Daniels - which says a lot about her in itself. Posts by Katie.
Abbey has been involved in the arts since the beginning. A San Francisco native, she has acted on the stage from a young age, but recently switched to her favorite role - director. Though her passion is film, she is currently becoming a famous off-off broadway director in New York City. When not directing, scouting locations, auditioning actors, or writing for Glamourite, Abbey has a child-like enthusiasm for animals and all things shiny. Posts by Abbey.
