Get Back on the Horse

I’ve found that my love for New York has quickly spread from Manhattan to Brooklyn. Yes, Brooklyn–that vacation over the bridge and across the river. Brooklyn Heights and DUMBO offer something that Manhattan cannot…space. As much as I love to eat directly next to tourists, pedestrians and dust-scattering cars, I find that my inspiration to be a better person is greater when I don’t have people constantly asking for money or telling others to f$&K off as I eat a $17 Cobb Salad.
Jack The Horse Tavern, a new Brooklyn favorite, has been open for only three months. If it doesn’t win your heart, you are a stone-cold, jaded person who needs to get the hell out of the city for a long weekend. I’m serious. At Jack The Horse, you will feel at home. For anyone who enters, the Tavern quickly becomes one of those places to meet up with friends and share a laugh and a great glass of Cabernet Sauvignon. Recently, I stopped in for one glass of wine with fellow Glamourite Katie and stayed for two lovely glasses and a gourmet pizza. Considering the experience, the menu isn’t expensive, but this spot isn’t cheap enough to be a daily hangout.
The icing on the cake is the Tavern’s location. Near The Brooklyn Heights Promenade and all the up-and-coming spots in DUMBO, the surrounding neighborhood will leave you inspired, in love and wanting to come back. That’s why I live here. Once in a while, I lure men to those special locations…and 9 times out of 10 I get what I want. Now you try.

Glad you like Dumbo! But we do see more and more tourists in the area. But the views on the river are amazing.
