Swedish Invasion

The “midsommer fest” also known as the Toshi Swedish Party was a sea of New York’s young and beautiful. Add to that a sea of blonde haired bodacious Swedes imported special for the event and you get one hot party. What’s more, these body painted Swedes actually poured the drinks for the crowd.
As with many of the past Toshi parties, the Swedish invasion was a party of good looking partiers enjoying their fill of an open bar sponsored by Boru Vodka and Bud. And in case you had too much liquor Vitamin Water was on site to sober up this open bar crowd as the evening past along.
The scene was that of many of the soho bars that are like Puck Fair. The only difference is this pick up scene had hundreds more singles packed into one venue. Upstairs the penthouse accommodated a more posh setting complete with tables for guests to enjoy Gyu Kaku’s grilled platters. For a premier experience couches were available for those who reserved in advance.
The blonde ambition group known as “Sun Block” in Sweden steamed up the stage in the VIP penthouse and later in the grand ballroom with hot singles like “I’ll Be Ready.” The guys in the crowd were especially fascinated by this Barbie like band dancing around in the typically tiny pop star barely- there outfits.
As with many of New York’s parties as the night dragged on and the drinks were overflowing, the crowd became your late night version of night clubs like Crobar. As the drunken and happy crowd began to depart they filled in to 24 hour diners like Moonstruck.

The party SUCKED big time!! Toshi pissed off all the real Swedes in New York so they were all across town at another event! If you were hoping to meet real Swedes then this was NOT the event!
